Track your TV shows episode by episode
Three shows on the go, two months without watching, and no idea which episode you stopped on. Klaped ticks off your episodes one by one and hands that answer back in a second, for every series you follow.
Tick off episodes one by one
On a show page each season unfolds and every episode gets its own checkbox. You tick what you have watched, episode by episode, and Klaped holds the exact point you stopped at: season 3, episode 7, not a vague sense of somewhere in the middle. Picking a series back up after two months away no longer starts with skimming a recap to work out where you were. A whole season ticks off in one action when you binge your way back to the front. Klaped works out the next episode to watch from there, so picking a show up again does not involve counting. This episode by episode tracking is part of the Pro subscription: on the free plan you follow a show as a whole title, not episode by episode.
Watching, finished, dropped
A series does not have two states but three, and the third one is what other trackers leave out. Klaped sorts your shows into watching, finished and dropped, each on its own page. Watching tells you at a glance what you have started and how far in you are, which is the question you actually ask on a Sunday evening. Finished keeps the record of what you saw all the way through. Dropped owns up to what you gave up on, so you do not start it again by mistake six months later. The state follows from your ticks without asking anything of you: every box ticked and a show turns finished, nothing ticked for six months and it falls into dropped. When you already know you are not going back, a button on the show page lets you say so right away, and ticking a new episode puts it back in watching. These three views are part of the Pro subscription, as is the episode tracking that feeds them.
Films and shows together
Most trackers pick a side: films here, television there, and two apps to keep current. Klaped holds both in one collection. A show is rated in half stars like a film, goes on the watchlist like a film, sits in the same custom lists and turns up in the same swipe mode. Your history mixes the two, in the order you actually watched them, so the Sunday evening question no longer starts with choosing a format. Adding a show to your watchlist, rating it and filing it in a list is all in the free plan: it is the per episode detail and the three tracking states that need Pro.
Frequently asked questions
How do I mark an episode as watched?
Open the show page, unfold the season and tick the episode's box. Klaped updates your progress and remembers which episode comes next. Episode tracking is part of the Pro subscription.
Does Klaped track shows I dropped?
Yes, dropped is a state in its own right, alongside watching and finished. A show falls into it on its own after six months without a ticked episode, or straight away if you say so from its page. The shows you gave up on get their own page, with the episode you stopped on. They stop cluttering the list of what you are supposed to pick back up.
Is episode tracking free?
No, it is part of the Pro subscription, along with the three tracking states. The free plan lets you add a show to your watchlist, mark it watched and rate it, but as a whole title rather than episode by episode.
Can I track films and shows in the same place?
Yes, that is the whole point of Klaped: one collection for both, with no juggling between two apps. Films and shows share the watchlist, the watched history, half star ratings and custom lists.
